Last year, I had the opportunity to collaborate with the Bozeman Film Society and create a mixed-media animation for the reveal of their updated sponsor reel. With minimal creative constraints beyond showcasing the sponsors, I leaned into the freedom of the project to build a narrative-driven piece.

 

The Drive-In is a short visual story composed of hundreds of hand-cut images, animated and manipulated to follow a van driver and his friends on a journey to their local drive-in movie theater. Along the way, they pass through shifting landscapes inspired by familiar scenes and environments from our home state of Montana.
